Republican candidate Anthony C. Schroeder opened his campaign May 20 in St. Louis County before the Florissant Valley Township Republican Club. He outlined about ten major platform points stressing government should inspire and liberate individual creative energy and incentive.
A speaker at a recent style show urged personal accountability for intellect motivation and respect for others rights. He argued trade or aid to nations allied with communism is unjustifiable and American resources should not aid despotic aggressors seeking enslavement.
Schroeder argued that the least amount of government is best and government ownership of production leads to injustice and stagnation. He said Congress should prevent federal government expansion over individuals life and that responsibility and morality cannot be legislated though legislation can improve conditions to a point.
Baccalaureate for 354 St Charles Public High School seniors will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at First Assembly of God Church 2529 Charwood. Rev B W Gronemyer will preach. The Triple Trio directed by Mrs W C Praeger will sing Dearest Lord Jesus and Green Cathedral. Assistants include Rev Earl Worley Rev Robert Warshow and Frank Williams.
