State lawmakers advance prevention office proposal in Missouri
The House gave first round approval to a Prevention bill creating a state level prevention office with county authorizations and funding. It would require reporting of fires and establish oversight by insurance firms while awaiting Senate committee review. A constitutional amendment restoring a one year Governor term was also passed by the Senate amid split votes.
