Senior Village expands with 24 new apartments planned
T Jerome Conover, secretary of the St Peters Senior Citizens Corporation, oversees the selection of 24 residents for new Senior Village apartments. A 127 name waiting list and certified mail applications drive a September announcement of the chosen residents. The Village, begun in 1971, showcases citizen-led efforts to supplement standard senior housing with community initiative.
