Bell Telephone Plans $500,000 Addition to Office Building
Ball Co wil expand building due to growing business. Bell Telephone Company will add $500,000 to its office at Third and Adams this year. The addition will rise north of the two story structure and will reflect general architectural style. Site work to begin soon. Vehicles currently housed there will be moved to the new garage. St Charles Motor Company vacates between Benton and Sixth to make room.

Registration for Soup Box Derby Opens at Moose Hall
Registration for the 1964 Banler Boyne Derby begins tonight at Moose Hall with 1963 Akron faces on screen. Youngsters ages 9 through 16, August 1 deadline, must be accompanied by an adult. Incar races July 1 with first prize a 500 dollar bond and trip to Akron. Total 30,000 dollars in scholarships to Akron races. Last year 54 boys competed, Boyd Weber led local honors, Tanner DeCoster chairs the Daniel Boone Derby Committee predicting another big year for soap box racers.
