St Charles Chamber surveys impact of sign ordinance on local business
The St Charles Chamber of Commerce surveys 474 businesses to gauge economic impact of a proposed sign ordinance. Findings show 92 responses with 76 reporting major sign investments totaling 350 138 dollars and some signs costing up to 25 000 dollars. Chamber seeks Jan 14 extension for recommendations as the plan would regulate permits and sign sizes citywide.
