County Exhibitors Fare Well at Fair
St. Charles County exhibitors at the Missouri State Fair captured three first place trophies. Sherrie Phelps of O'Fallon won top honors in American Saddlebred Senior Exhibitors with Stonette Sea. Ruth and R. B. Palmer of St. Charles earned a second in Five Gaited Amateur Mare and later a third in the same class. Joe Atwater piloted Strutters Silhouette to fourth in Parade Horse Amateur and fifth in Parade Horse Open. Le F. Sadler of Augusta claimed five prizes in Shorthorn Beef Cattle. Leonard O'Brien of St Peters displayed three Northern trophies for Santa Gertrudis cattle.
