St Charles YMCA Plans Florida Trip For Teens
St Charles County YMCA announces a five day Florida trip to Daytona Beach for Up to 36 YMCA Youth members. The June 19 departure from the St Louis area includes Disney World admission, Pirates Cove stay, meals, transport, and insurance with a $189.70 member cost plus a YMCA Youth supplement, deposit by May 10 and full payment by May 2. City awards senior bus contract to Superior Coach for Pacemaker model
The city selects Superior Coach Sales to supply a red and white air conditioned Pacemaker bus with a larger engine, funded partly by a grant from the Urban Mass Transportation Authority and 30 percent from Community Development funds. Allied Bus Sales offered a cheaper 2–passenger vehicle but was deemed capacity inadequate. Delivery timing, site for a senior center, and a one acre tract for facilities were also discussed. CD allocated 230000 for site purchase and construction.

Committee backs offer to owner for center construction
The journal reports the committee recommended drafting a resolution to make an offer to the owner. The offer would be made Wednesday. Proposals for senior center construction management services would be opened on April 25. About 10 firms expressed interest. The committee also urged funds for a shelter at Jaycee Park on Bim Street with restrooms and picnic and craft facilities.
