Sewer District Bill Signing Expected Today
County officials Saige Ounstan Boschert and Leo Shor ry are scheduled to attend the signing in Jefferson City as a new state law allows countywide sewer districts to be established with non taxing authority. The law takes effect in about 90 days, enabling a countywide vote to create a debt financing district for future bonds. The measure, authored by Dale Rollings, was prepared for the county court last summer and applies to all second class counties. Governor Warren Hearnes will announce the installation address to the Key Club, with McNary delivering the keynote. The Missouri Arkansas District Convention placed the Duchesne Key Club second in the Silver Division. Knoblauch won second in talent, and Rolland W. Gar received the Most Outstanding Faculty Advisory award. Keith Steinhoff was installed as Lieutenant Governor of the Mon Ark District.
