Governor M Dixon in a second message to the special session proposes an adequate cement tax and a coal and cement segregation tax. He calls for placing corporate income tax under the state board of equalization, Capitol repairs funding, and an election plan for national committeemen for parties.
A farm owner argues silos boost profits by saving feed and labor. He describes cutting from 14 to 16 acres for fodder, then using four to six acres for silage, and notes cows produce more when fed pre digested silage. He asserts silos pay back in two years and urges farmers to adopt silage.
A subcommittee recommending a favorable report to the House Ways and Means Committee urged passage of the McFadden bill to correct gold production costs tied to monetary value. The measure aims to boost profitability and could allow major mines at Zortman to resume operations in the county.

Luella M Abel of Saco Montana and Thomas I Bracken of New Albany Kansas wed on Feb 13 1921 at the home of Mrs Stella G Bracken in Kansas The bride daughter of Robt Abel a pioneer who lives on a ranch 12 miles south of Saco The couple now visit Oklahoma and will return after April 15 to settle a few miles south of Saco
John R. Martin of Washington recounts from 1912 onward how building a 12 by 20 foot silo and filling it with crops like oats and other forages reduced losses, increased milk fat per cow from 200 pounds in 1909 to 330 in 1915 and over 400 by 1920, and enabled 15 cows to yield a calf each year. He argues profitable dairying hinges on silos.

S. M. McSpadden water inspector for the Great Northern was killed near Matador Montana Monday evening by No 4. The crew says the speedier jumped the track and McSpadden lay between the rails before it could be stopped. The body was recovered.
The Odd Fellows and Rebekahs presented a four act comedy titled Plain Folks at Malta on March 2. Leo Wagoner organized directed and authored the piece with local scenery and a strong musical program enhancing a professional atmosphere. The cast received high praise for fitting their roles and delivering a satisfying town show with plans for more dates eastward.
The body of McSpadden, originally from West Virginia, was brought to Malta where an undertaker received it. He had served as a water inspector at Bowdoin for about three years.

Grasshopper control saved 15403400 dollars with a total cost of 9650.50 dollars. 97.2 percent of farmers favored continuing gopher control next year.
