Montana produced 12,781,038 ounces of silver in 1912 valued at 7.83 million dollars, up from 11.99 million ounces in 1911. Silver Bow County accounted for 11.85 million ounces, 89 percent of state output, while copper production rose from 272 million to 809 million pounds, with the Butte district supplying most of the increase.
