Double murder leads to lynching in Mondak Mont

In Mondak Montana Sheriff Thomas Courtney and Deputy Richard Burmaster were killed during an attempted arrest of J C Collins. A lynch mob hanged Collins at a telephone pole about ten tonight after a tense standoff and fire beliaed clothing.

Restaurant keeper liable for lost coat in coat room ruling

The New York appellate division affirmed a $47 judgment against restaurant keeper L G Riggs for the loss of R D Wentworths over coat. Wentworth hung his coat on a hook in a coat room provided by the defendant and the court found it under his exclusive temporary custody. Glendive independent reports the decision.

Necessity of Pure Seed in Eastern Montana Farmers

Billings April 9 That eastern Montana farmers recognize the need for pure seed shown by inquiries to Carroll of the Eastern Montana Producers Association. Organized weeks ago the group aims to promote farmers interest especially in good seed. Membership grows steadily and by next season it will likely supply nearly all eastern Montana farmers who join with seed suited to local climate and soil.
