With the regular fall term opening, Judge Stephen D. Pearce urged jurors on their grave duties. He warned against pessimism amid drought and urged confidence, unity, and constructive action to restore normalcy through road work, employment, and responsible citizenry.
A seventy four year old Rev J K Stevenson celebrated with a family reunion at his Ruston home last Saturday. Four children and six grandchildren attended with relatives from Quitman Dallas Corsicana and surrounding areas though some could not travel due to parish quarantine. The annual event moves between Ruston and Quitman and is a long awaited family gathering.
