The Home Demonstration Chal met Oct. 9 at the ebro house with 7 members present due to illness. Mrs. Johming Aswell led a prayer to start the meeting. The business session opened with elections for officers including President Mrs. Mamie Travis and others.
The group met on Thursday October 18 1962 with president Mrs Louis Ambrose and secretary treasurer Res Johnny Aswell. Leaders reported and thanked for the hue ribbon won at the fair. Aswell hosted and served refreshments. meeting adjourned to meet at the church house in November.
Alabama Laymen held a full day at the church with breakfast in the kitchen after morning services. Bro. Bil Darrow and Bro. Bayce Holley spoke, Deana Ising sang, and Bro. Holley led a training union scripture. Movie pictures of Homecoming Day were shown at the close.
