Wilks Home From Hospital Receives Weekend Guests

Mrs FM Wilks returned home from hospital at Ruston a few days ago. Visitors over the weekend included Lawrence and Ric Pile of Bastrop, Fletcher Alexander Hilly, Lovie Barnett, Lee Young Sr of Ruston, I B Colvin, R N Harris, H Skinner and their daughter Mrs W E Nuttall and Nuttall family from Shreveport. On Sunday Mr and Mrs J W Martin of Farmerville visited with Billy Martin and baby. James Jenkins, Johnny Lee Martin of Maughton and Mr and Mrs J We Brewer of Ruston also spent Sunday afternoon with Mr and Mrs Frank Mitchell.

Youth clubs train teens for work in Minnesota

The Minnesota Department of Employment Security reports 72 youth employment clubs supervised last year with 3750 members placed in jobs such as weeding gardens mowing lawns and shoveling snow according to UPI.
