War Veterans To Get Insurance Dividends In Jan
President Kennedy announced a plan to pay government life insurance dividends early to more than five million war veterans in January. The Veterans Administration will distribute about 2278 billion in advance to help with chest bills and stimulate the economy.

The Veterans Administration will issue accelerated 1983 dividends totaling 222 million for World War II policyholders plus an 80 million special payout and 15.4 million to World War I policyholders. Checks are expected to mail in January with regular anniversaries. The early payment repeats a 1961 VA move to speed dividends.
