Real Cost of Government Hidden in Big Budget Figures

Using gross expenditures of 812.0 billion plus trust fund outlays, the real 1958 budget totals 395.6 billion with 398.9 billion in revenues. The piece warns of rising obligations in highway, flood insurance, school aid, and social security as hidden or outside the net budget.
