Official estimates show the Gulf Refining reservation at Girard Point in Philadelphia suffered over $2,000,000 in a blaze last night. The tank steamer Hagan was badly damaged and 15 tank cars plus a large warehouse of vats tanks and drums were destroyed. The Hagan settled on the river bottom after crew of 36 jumped into the water and were rescued. Firemen battled the three hour blaze while explosions shook the area and many were overcome by smoke.
