Louisiana Soybeans Show Promising Growth Across State

A recent Lake Providence forum sponsored by the Louisiana Delta Council the Louisiana Cotton Seed Crushers Association and LSU Extension highlighted a surge in soybean interest in Louisiana. The rise is driven by improved varieties from LSU researchers diversification and the state’s climate. Growers can market soybeans 20 to 30 days earlier than Midwest producers with high quality beans for human consumption processing or livestock feed. The industry notes that Louisiana can grow many crops beyond cotton cane and rice and aims to push grain quality even higher.
