Members of the Louisiana Tech Sprig and Twig Garden Club enjoyed a February covered dish supper at the home of Mr. and Mrs. La Rue Cocanougher. Husband guests heard C. G. Hobgood of Louisiana Tech speak on the care and selection of shrubs, pruning, and plant care after cold damage. Hobgood also noted how to treat affected plants. Attendees included Mr. and Mrs. S. A. The Fifth District Annual Convention of Louisiana Federated Women's Clubs met in Ruston on February 24 with seven Ruston clubs as hostesses. Officers were elected and the Vogue Sewing Contest Style Show highlighted noon activities. Awards honored top clubs and readers of Clubwoman Magazine.
