Rural Louisiana safety inspections cut defective cars in rural crashes
State Police analysis shows a 1 percent drop in defective rural vehicles after the first statewide motor vehicle safety inspection. Before the program there were 1113 defective rural vehicles in crashes. after the program 461, a marked decrease.
