New 500000 Gallon Tank Added To City Water System

The city brought a new 500000 gallon storage tank online as part of a 6000000 program to strengthen water service and safety. The tank cost about 71000 dollars and sits on the north side, joining two other storage facilities including a Memorial Park tank and a ground reservoir at the power plant site with a combined capacity of three million gallons. Seven wells supply the three storage sites, each capable of 800 gallons per minute, plus four 600 gallon per minute wells in the city. Mayor Beasley said the water project is in final inspection with some remaining tasks, but the system is in excellent shape.

He warns that ownership drives diligence and suggests better business skills keep growers in the industry. He closes with a call to practical management for both integrators and independent producers.
