Playtime Radio Revue to Be Presented by Miss Moffett

Mrs. J. J. Bennett served as treasurer and Mrs. E. D. McCallum as parliamentarian after the election of officers. Following the vote, a delicious plate luncheon was served by the hostess.

Fire destroys autos at Bayville filling station

A late night blaze at a filling station and warehouse owned by M. A. Cooper destroyed 24 automobiles, one truck, and auto parts and accessories. The Ford agency storage imply losses were $2,500 to $3,000, with partial insurance coverage. No value estimate for the buildings or vehicles is given.

Louisiana Hunter Mortally Wounded By Accidental Shot

A hunting party of five in Baskin, Louisiana, lost Archie Duckworth, 26, when a companion's shotgun discharged accidentally. Harry Mack, 38, a Bas kin postmaster, was climbing a barbed wire fence as the trigger snagged, sending shot into Duckworth's face and skull. Duckworth died about five hours after the incident. funeral services are set for today.

Chicago January 26 Aredis Lemourdj jan who claimed to be 109 years old and to have had 78 wives and 118 children died in a rooming house yesterday of heart disease He told friends that he was a former Turkish governor.

Juniors Beat Seniors in Inter Class Ball Game

Tech Junior Class crushed seniors at Tech Field 16 to 4 in a winter diamond tilt under mild January warmth. Edens pitched well for the juniors with Heard and Van Dalsen behind the plate. Haley fanned twelve in six innings for the seniors. Delaney and R Rodgers led hitting for the seniors with J Riser top among juniors. Pietsch was brought in as a last effort by Coach Long.

New Orleans Bank Debits Hit Over Hundred Million

New Orleans for the week ending January 23 reported total bank debits of 102,984.00 to individual accounts in Orleans, up from 97,523,000 a year earlier. It is the first time in nearly two years the weekly debit total crossed the 100,000,000 mark, with New Orleans leading Southern cities in bank debits for 1930.
