Car Stolen From New Astor Theatre Grounds
W A Marbury of Feazel Motor Co reports his light blue 1928 two door Ford sedan stolen from in front of the New Astor theatre after a show. The car, motor number A-332810 and license 135855, was parked about seven and taken about an hour and a half later. Sheriff Thigpen offers 25 dollars for recovery and 50 dollars for the offender.

Largest Number Poll Taxes Ever Paid In Lincoln

Demonstration at Choudrant 18 Given by Agent
Miss Sophia Stone parish home demonstration agent conducted a canning demonstration at the Taylor home near Choudrant on Tuesday. 155 number two cans, each over two pounds, were filled with roast, chili, steal and hash. About eight Indies of the Choudrant community attended and observed the methods. Stone said regular community canning demonstrations will begin once the canners order arrives, with five outfits to be used parish wide.

Will Enforce Tonnage Rule In Louisiana
Baton Rouge Dec 30 Transfer companies and truck operators are warned by the Louisiana Highway Commission enforcement division to watch their loads or face penalties. Chief Jd L Anderson said the state will enforce tonnage limits of five tons with penalties of 150 dollars per thousand pounds over the limit. He criticized highway damage from heavy trucks and reckless driving and announced enforcement begins January 1.

A kitchen fire damaged Mrs. Mary Spinks home on South Trenton street but caused little damage. Burned man found near Cha utauqua after roadside fire
