Douglas Mrs J G Vernon and the Women Demonstration Club met Tuesday the 11th with 10 present. Mrs Alondin led the demonstration. Zalu Roareb and Mrs Ruby Davis hosted. Friday afternoon a miscellaneous shower honored Mrs J D Edward, who had burned out. she received many helpful items. Community movement welcomed Mr and Mrs Linc in our town on Saturday with Mrs J C.
Tentative dates June 18 19 and 20 set for the Taulaiana iPeach Festival at Ruston by Geor g Nicol chairman after Monday directors meeting. Plans include a flower show golf tournament poncho give away prizes exhibit of penelos and judging orchards with best fruit prizes. Thursday features a pie and cobbler baking contest a style show and a talent show with contestants from parishes. Princess Peach x to be crowned Friday luncheon planned at Franklin Me.
Queens and state officials ready for Talladega festival events in Ruston Hein Anehidhi area. Parade will feature many floats from various groups and bands. Friday evening the queen is chosen at Howard Avenue then a country club diner for participants at the Festival. The program is subject to change and additions. Mrs 3 C McCleary hired as festival secretary in Jidd Nicol and Cliton office.
In Dubach the Lincoln Parish Lunch Room staff met with Mrs. Ruby Cole presiding. Attendees included Mrs. Ver Heard, Mrs. Jim Heard, Mrs. H. B. In, Lula Mdmistan, Mrs. Seonae Foster, Mrs. Guy Riches, and several others from Ruston High School and local communities. Hosts were Mrs. David Vaden, Mrs. Luetlie Hunt, and Myrtle Fant with guest Mrs. Burnesy from Hice.
