Simsboro Lease Bids Sought for Town Streets and Mineral Rights
The Town of Simsboro in Lincoln Parish Louisiana advertises a lease auction before the 9th day of September 1861 at 1 00 o clock for streets and alleys within the corporate limits and for mineral rights in Section 21, Township 18 North Range 4 West. Payments include one eighth of oil and gas, two dollars per long ton of sulfur, ten cents per ton of phosphate, and one eighth of other minerals, with a maximum lease term of three years and annual delay rentals. Russ Descendants Hold Reunion at Ruston Recreation Center
