The Antioch Community Club held its regular meeting to discuss the Lord's Acre crop and plan workings at homes Mel Hedgepeth Andrew Leifard and Jack Smith. Members invited to help Tuesday afternoon as winter clues are to be set. The club aids those disabled in the accident. A hayride was enjoyed Saturday night with attendees listed, and Antioch won a ball game against Hilly. Mr Floyd Tabor of Shreveport is visiting relatives this week. Dory and friends visited Hightower Dring at the Ruston Lincoln Sanitarium where Hightower faces appendicitis.

She is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Wiley McCrary near the Louisiana Brick Plant. The baby will receive care from Tech students during lessons and then return home each day. Also reported is a local election aftermath and a wedding: Miss Martel Crump and Reeves Jordan wed at the Presbyterian Manse in Arcadia with Rev. F Sanders officiating. Mrs Crump is a Louisiana Tech graduate and former Athens school teacher. Mr Jordan is Arcadia’s notable young man.

Susan Pratt Scully, a pretty little daughter, was born to Mr. and Mrs. James Wall Scully on Tuesday April 1 at the Ruston Lincoln sanitarium. The mother is Miss Avis Pratt, and many in the city send good wishes. Mr. Scully arrived from Miami Beach Florida earlier in the week and will return to his business there in a few days. Mrs. Scully and the baby will remain for several weeks.
