The Kokomo Frankfort and Western Traction company reports first cash fares collected yesterday as service begins from Kokomo toward Russiaville with a shuttle schedule. Cars run every two hours until line completion toward Frankfort, with through service planned from Marion to Frankfort once finished. Warnings include crossing safety at West Middleton and local excitement as growth accompanies the new line.

Relatives from the county attended including TC Wiltsie and wife and Ward, Rey Morris and wife, Mrs. Rachel Brimmerman, Josephine Miller and five daughters and one granddaughter, L Middleton and wife, William Thompson, William Wisner and wife, and Laura Fleming of Sharpsville. Mr. and Mrs. Lemuel Middleton plan to stay on their farm for the rest of summer.
