First Interurban Car Sets Off from Russiaville to Kokomo

Yesterday at about 8 am the first passenger car on the new interurban line left Russiaville for Kokomo with riders Pearley Lee Thomas Cox John Harold Pat Wilson Woody Marshall Merle Main George L Woody Lucie Hollingsworth and Mrs Susan Windigler. The trip took forty minutes and is expected to drop to twenty five as crews gain speed on the track. A two hour schedule will run until completion to Frankfort then shift to one hour fifteen minutes. Fare is 20 cents to Kokomo or 35 cents round trip. See the line card in this issue.

Middleton Guests From Texas Attend County Family Reunion

Lemne and Riuebel W. Middleton arrived from Wood Texas Friday evening and joined DL Wiltsie and wife on Virginia avenue for a county family reunion Sunday. Relatives from the county attended including TC Wiltsie and wife and Ward, Rey Morris and wife, Mrs. Rachel Brimmerman, Josephine Miller and five daughters and one granddaughter, L Middleton and wife, William Thompson, William Wisner and wife, and Laura Fleming of Sharpsville. Mr. and Mrs. Lemuel Middleton plan to stay on their farm for the rest of summer.
