Tax Board Opens Annual Meeting in Kokomo
The county board of tax review began its annual session Monday at the county assessor's office in Kokomo with all members present. The board includes County Assessor Davies County Auditor Swift County Treasurer Ryan A C Shilling of Russiavile and Emmet Swafford of Kokomo. It will hear appeals from township assessments and fix corporate property valuations for taxation and will meet daily until July 1. If any grievance exists, it should be brought before the board promptly. When changes are proposed the board consults its representatives before adjusting any corporate valuations.
