Class Number Three taught by Mrs Hilda Newlin was hosted at her North Union Street residence on Friday evening February 18 with twenty members attending. Class Number Four led by Mr Walter Carter followed, ending with a dainty luncheon. Attendees reported a very pleasant time.
J Carl Blair formerly of Forest, a carpenter and farmer, is jailed in Frankfort after being returned from St. Louis by S I Books of the city hospital department. Blair, who left Frankfort in 1917, previously escaped the Central Hospital for the Insane, later worked as a carpenter, served in the St. Louis post office, and was moved to a hospital for treatment before being sent back to Clinton county amid concerns over a scheme to unite music houses and writers into a stock holding organization with widespread membership.
Rev. L. E. Knox of Converse will preach Sunday at 11:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Christian Church here. He formerly preached at the M. E. Church and at Cloverdale and has many warm friends in town. Sam Thompson of Kokomo visited Monday.
