Pension Bill Passes House With Historic Size
Washington February 19 the largest pension bill ever reported to Congress carrying 180 300 000 in appropriations passed the house 213 to 4 with an amendment creating over one million more in required funding. Democrats led by Roddenberg of Georgia failed to add income or disability based amendments. The bill would bar nonresidents from pensions after July 1 1918 except for service related disabilities and social disabilities.

Death Claims Aged Middlefork Woman
Mirse Mirzabein Milner aged 8 from Clinton county died at her home one mile west of Shodtork after a week with pneumonia. Survived by one son, John Silver, of Russiaville, and one daughter, Mrs Louis Woitemis of Middlefork. Funeral held this morning at Middlefork by Rev Tedford. burial in Tennessee cemetery.
