CE Hodson of the Minnesota Farmer writes from Rennville Minnesota in January 1912 detailing moves in 1911 from Sacred Heart to Rennville, the extent of land, soil, crops like wheat oats corn barley and vegetables, local churches schools and trains plus lifelong impressions of weather, schooling, and neighbors. He mentions six elevators at Sacred Heart and seven at Rennville, a one hundred sixty acre farm, and that children attend school daily despite cold. He notes good corn and grain yields and plans to begin spring work with five work horses.
