Sympathy extended to berezinski family after a lengthy illness. Obituaries for Arthur Richter and Henry Cox noted. Various visitors and travellers described, including John Pugh at the UGG meeting and Ena Young returning from the Isle of Wight. Church unit meeting, bake sale plans, and a Binscarth 4-H Heifer Club update with upcoming workshops.
Nancy McDonald and son Leslie visited Kenora for a couple of days. Bob Paradine from Winnipeg stopped by the home during the long weekend. About 26 friends hosted a surprise housewarming for Adelle and Stewart Bowley who now reside in their Town House. Liz and Graham Rennie from Winnipeg were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. Rennie. The note mentions a birth in Brandon and greenbacks versus white banks. On October 6 Millwood Lads and Lasses held their first meeting with new officers and two mini-members. The group plans a money project and meets again November 6.
Edward Cook aged 68 beloved husband of Lily Ireland died September 25 in Russell Hospital. Born in Port Arthur he lived in Melita before moving to Binscarth area in 1993. He married Lily Ireland in 1996 and farmed until retirement in 1975. Survived by wife Lily four sons Doug Johnnie Calvin of Binscarth and Albert of Langenburg five daughters Eva Dunn Donna Wishart Edna Murray Sharon Laskowski Carla Arran, four sisters Florence Lily Dorothy Violet one brother Fred and many relatives. Funeral held September 29 at Binscarth United Church with interment in Binscarth Cemetery. Pallbearers Ray Spencer Alan Ver Joe Boucher Adolf Drielich Doug Clarke Alex Munro. Braendle Bruce Funeral Home in charge.
The Manasaskan Squares held a square and round dance night on November 7 with four squares. Lloyd and Agnes Hogberg of Solsgirth called rounds, Audie Zimmer led modern squares, and Bill Wiseman did old time calls. Roman Hildebrandt of Langenburg attended and showed interest in calling. other clubs will send callers every second week.
Cliff Zimmer notes girls will have their first Ringette pract ice Friday 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Others include Rossburn Angusville Binscarth Russell league, Sunday practices 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Russell travels to Shilo for second mixed volleyball tournament. Curling clinic by Gary Gordon and Ross Graham in Binscarth Sunday Nov 19 at 1:00 p.m. Registration closes Friday 4:00 p.m. Next week rink schedule for Russell and Binscarth.

Shellmouth and Brandon hosted Burroughs families with Mr and Mrs Gordon Burroughs and relatives visiting. Mr Robert Burroughs of Morden joined over the weekend to spend time with Mr and Mrs Sam Burroughs and family.
