The Silverton United Church Women’s Missionary Society presents a Parker’s Fountain and Pencil remembrance to Mrs. Maher for her 1924 presidency and farewell visit. Members thank Mrs. Maher and Mr. Mather for hospitality and express best wishes for the holidays and future meetings.
The Royston Women's Institute held its regular monthly meeting at Mrs Goodbun's home on April 22. A delightful lunch followed. The next gathering is set for May 27 at Mrs H Sudbury's home if members request attendance.
A WI gathering at the home of Mr W J Stewart drew better attendance than usual. The notes urge all members to attend, promote Sunday school for children, and form a young girls club. The WY will host a sale and plan for an annual picnic. Mrs Stewart was appointed to elevate from our institute to end the Provincial Convention at Winnip eg. Two delegates will go to the district convention at Rossburn on May 26. See the want ad for a second hand piano.
From the President of the Sheilmont Auxiliary the message asks all auxiliaries to be well represented at the Presbyterial meeting in Strathclair on May 28. It is likely to be the last Presbyterial before Union is consummated and aims to be memorable.

The Silverton group of the UFWM met last Thursday at Mrs N A Robertson's home. After routine business Rutherford introduced Mrs KR H and discussed ongoing matters.
The Angusville Dramatic Society staged Strictly Business at Ressburn last week to strong appreciation. Local events included visits by Rev F C Middleton and Mr R H Pritchard at district meetings, with church services well attended and a new Chevrolet acquired by C E Ferguson for personal use.
Attendees at Sunday evening service meeting pledged two hundred dollars to reduce the church debt and fund a volunteer canvass of twenty this week. A Silver Tea for the Girls Club is set for Saturday afternoon at the Doig Store furniture room. Next Sunday MLA W. D Bayley will speak on Scientific Temperance Education and address the Sunday school. An Empire Day service follows with a talk by the minister on Citizens of Canada and the Kingdom of God. A baptism is planned and a Lloyd George lecture by Rev J. G. Stephens of Newdale on June 7 supports Boys' Work Board of District No. 3.
At a May 12 meeting of the Inglis Athletic Association the Inglis Baseball team was reorganized for the season and plans laid for a successful year. The committee will seek district league representation as many new players emerge, with practice to start immediately and all communications to be addressed to The Baseball Committee Inetis.
