Paving project moves forward with community support
The Russell and District Community Centre paving project is advancing as residents and local businesses rally fundraising. $72,000 has been raised, $66,000 in in kind commitments exist, and about $50,000 more is needed to finish. Nelson River Construction will lay asphalt if the project completes while they work on Hwy 16, with June 2008 targeted. Rosnoski notes strong community backing and upcoming fundraisers for summer.
