Russell and Area Relay for Life raises money for cancer
Windy day cannot dampen success as Russell and Area host their second Relay for Life. Over 24 teams and 300 participants raised above $55,000 for cancer research, with 132 volunteers aiding food booths and firepits. Forty cancer survivors completed the victory lap, including Jeff Garnett and Elvie, and Darin Gooda of Binscarth traveling from Winnipeg to participate in memory of Phyllis Keller. Darin and his circle have now raised nearly $100,000 over three years.
