Proposal discussed to build a new rink on higher ground with three or four sheets, funded by selling shares at ten dollars each, targeting about two thousand dollars.

Over 800 at First Saturday Night Dance
The Thee Vets Hall was packed on Saturday night with more than 800 attendees for the regular dance. Joseph Slack died at 11 30 p m on Tuesday after weeks of illness. He came to Russell about twenty seven years ago and worked for the CNR since. He was active in Christ Church choir and vestry and a member of the S C B Lodge Queen of the West. He leaves a widow and one son Gorell in The Bank of Montreal Winnipeg. Two daughters Enid and Phyllis preceded him.
