Two Injured In Auto Mishap Near Rossburn
Garnet Clement and alias Hubel Jackson were hospitalized after a car accident about two miles north of Rossburn last Saturday morning. Mrs Clement and Miss Jackson suffered facial cuts and other injuries when the vehicle overturned several times on loose gravel, ejecting the occupants down a 20 foot embankment.

Western Marquette Musical Festival Sets Dates in Russell
About 375 entries have been reserved for the fifth annual Western Marquette Musical Festival to be held in Russell on May 15 16 and 17. Executive meeting laid plans for daily sessions at 1 30 1 30 and 7 30 in the United church and Vets ball with a final concert Wednesday. Mr and Mrs J Roberto Wood of Winnipeg will judge music and Robert Jarman of Winnipeg spoken poetry tea folk dancing. Tickets go on sale this week with season and session options and a final concert ticket.

A wildfire driven by strong winds swept from the Maleline area Monday, burning hay stacks and 17 cords of wood near D. J. Robinson and threatening a log stable and granary. Town Council Passes By Laws At Regular Meeting

George Sproule McDonagh Dies At Edmonton
George Sproule McDonagh died at his Edmonton home last Friday at age 69. Born in Ashfield Ontario he moved to Russell district with parents then to Edmonton in 1928. Survived by widow Mino Elizabeth Callin two sons George and William two grandchildren one sister Mrs Frank Matheson Russell one brother Robert Edmonton. He worked in mining and CPR construction and was a life member of Russell Lodge No.2 JAP and A.M and deputy grand master of Manitoba District No.6. Funeral services were held in Edmonton Monday.
