Bye Bye Birdie at Russell and District Centre
The Major Pratt School musical comedy Bye-Bye Birdie drew about 500 people who gave a standing ovation Friday night at the Russell and District Community Centre. Directed by Doug MacIsaac the two act play set in the 1950s follows Conrad Birdie played by Alan Savaryn. A rock and roll singer is slated to bid a typical American teenage girl goodbye with a kiss before army induction. The large cast performed two shows, Friday and Saturday evenings.
