The Endcliffe Rifle Club joined Foxwarren for the Griffiths Cup shoot last Saturday the 20th. Top scoring showed Endcliffe 71 and Foxwarren 30 as teams counted, with a close finish by Foxwarren securing a win by 41. The Foxwarren club plans a return visit to Endcliffe Range for a Mullins Cup trio competition later.
At a Russell constituency contesting meeting held in Silverton Community Hall on Monday night CCP supporters unanimously decided to contest Russell. A Sawyer chaired the meeting with W H Andrews as secretary. Delegates attended from Rossburn Ancusville Tussell Binsearth Foxwarren and Silverton. Nomination set for Thursday July 2 in Ancusville. Delegates to Brandon provincial convention arranged with plans for J S Woodsworth or E J Garland to address the gathering.
Town of Russell proclaims a Civic Holiday on Friday June 26 from 1 PM to 8 PM with all businesses to govern themselves accordingly. Dated June 22 1996 by Mayor H. Hembroff.

Sunday schedule includes 11 pm Matin and Sermon Round the Camp Fire based on 1 Timothy 6 12. Scout and Guide service followed by noon Sunday School at 12 and 3 pm at Craigie.
