Eye on hospital costs shows Vita leads efficiency in Manitoba
A Manitoba study ranks Vita hospital top in cost efficiency while Emerson sits 14th of 76. Occupancy rates and shorter stays boost efficiency. Vita’s three year old facility contrasts with Emerson in aging facilities. The report by Manitoba Centre for Health Policy notes urban hospitals like Concordia and Grace discharge efficiently without harming 30 day readmission rates.
