WEDDINGS Wegner-Many at Inglis and Russell
In Inglis and Russell Manitoba two long weddings were held. Wilfred Wagner and another couple married in a double ring ceremony at Bethany Lutheran Church Inglis with Rev John Schroeppell officiating and a reception at Inglis Center. The second couple Arnold Shackel and Mildred Steinwalt wed at Knox United Church Rowell with Miss Marion Tennant as maid of honor and a large reception at St Joseph’s Church Hall. Guests traveled from Saskatchewan Manitoba Ontario and beyond to attend the events. The weddings featured ornate gowns, floral bouquets, and multi‑tiered headpieces and concluded with dances and toasts. The world’s largest carpet was described as 88000 square feet in New York in 1956.
