Skating Carnival Draws Crowd and Prizes Awarded
A Friday skating carnival drew many costumers and a large audience as costumes elicited praise. Prize winners included Best dressed lady Mrs McDonagh and Best dressed gentleman Fred Bryant. Skating races for prizes by T Hill and Ledingham Co saw D Kippan first and Madill second with Schwalm and Glover third and fourth. Dr Barnardo Brass Band provided music. A meeting of the Minnedosa Rural Deanery was held in Minnedosa last week with Revs Bartlett Russell Briscoe Shoal Lake Woods Neepawa Belford Gladstone Scott Westbourne and Rural Dean Gill in attendance. A Sunday school association was formed and a convention will be held in Minnedosa next June with officers named including President W Keyes Vice President Rev Rural Dean Gill and Sec Treas Rev A W Woods.
