Manitoba ends licence plate validation stickers in 2016 transition
Manitoba moves to eliminate licence plate validation stickers with a full rollout by March 1 2021. MPI officials say blank stickers will cover existing plates for renewals and new plates require no month year stickers. Police say on board computers and automated readers enable real time plate validation and quicker action against unregistered vehicles.
