Museum repairs to begin after bids approved
The Museum Committee on February 18 approved a renovation bid by Alphonse Plante and Fernand Peppin for six thousand three hundred seventy three dollars and thirty four cents. Insurance coverage will be up to the lowest bid less GST recoverable and deductible. A new policy with higher premiums and deductible was chosen. Plans include area newspaper ads and a mailer in Binscarth post boxes. Funds from fundraisers include a Pioneer Quest presentation and an Antique Road Show on April 7 with an appraiser. a May annual meeting is tentatively set.

The Banana Belt Club met with nine members present. Irene chaired. Secretary and treasurer reports approved. No old business. New business discussed. Agreed to serve at Dale and Wilma Joyce sale on June Sth. Donations: 25 to 4-H bonspiel and 50 to Binscorth Lions. Draw won by Rose. Next meeting March 20 at Dorothy Ireland's with Cheryl Robinson for lunch. Lunch by Ena and Rosalie. Lena adjourned.

New fee schedule for building permits approved
Council met February 13. By law 537-02 introduced a new fee schedule based on square footage for new buildings while renovations use value. Vacant board seats, vet service challenges, and December to January finances were discussed. Next meeting March 13 at 2 PM.
