Langenburg and Churchbridge approve a five year garbage disposal deal at the Churchbridge landfill. Langenburg will pay per capita rates rising from 11.17 this year to 12.32 in 2006 2007, replacing a flat 12,500 annual fee. The full ten year cost exceeds 100 million dollars.
Westman Communications Group plans a million dollar upgrade to bring digital cable to 90 percent of customers. The system will offer over 90 video channels and up to 120 signals including Pay Per View, with receivers available for 99 dollars or 198 dollars upfront.
Fire units from Binscarth and Russell along with ambulance and RCMP responders worked after noon on February to a residence two miles south of Binscarth.
