Russell Town Council approves traffic and business actions
At the February 13 1992 meeting Russell Town Council approved stop signs at two intersections on Thurston Road and Prospect Avenue and Russell Street. The council accepted an Ice Cream Stand permit for Lot 1 Plan 20538 with a rear yard variance from 25 to 5 feet and issued a building permit worth 15000. A taxi business named Russell Taxi operated March 1 1992 to February 28 1993 was approved for Ronald Moore. The Russell and District Community Centre Inc 1991 operating deficit of 9682.07 was approved for payment. Drivers Ed instructor Peter Bacon proposed stop or yield signs on Russell streets. RCMP advised additional stop signs at the Thurston Road Russell Street corner and Prospect Avenue Russell Street.
