The Pas joins race for 2002 Winter Games bid
The Pas joins Rivendell Inglis and Asessippi in pursuing the 2002 Winter Games bid. A regional steering committee toured facilities in the three communities and Roblin Russell schools to assess venues, accommodations and volunteer bases for about 2 200 athletes and 300 media officials. The group highlighted Rivendell trails and Asessippi Ski Hill as key draws and noted potential inclusion of snowboarding.
