Mrs. Annie Cairns 92 died February 1 in Winnipeg. Funeral services Friday at 5 pm at Thomson Funeral Home Winnipeg. Burial Sunday afternoon at Shoal Lake. She was an oldtimer of Kelloe district and lived in Russell years with her son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Wilson. Survived by three daughters in Los Angeles Toronto and Russell and sons in San Francisco Seattle and Vancouver.

Crusade Aims to Boost Church Attendance and Outreach
Friendly visitors from United Church called on most congregational families on Sunday afternoon January 30 to promote the upcoming Church Attendance Crusade from February 6 to Easter Sunday April 10. Annual Ladies Bonspiel Next Week Highlights
On Wednesday and Thursday next week, ladies from Angusville Silverton Birtle Foxwarren Marchwell Langenburg Yorkton Millwood and other points will converge on Russell for the annual Ladies Curling Club bonspiel. The prize committee has been busy buying awards and the ladies hope for no thaw like the 1954 one. Russell Club hosts 32 rinks at a buffet supper Wednesday evening at the rink and lunches are served by the Evening Auxiliary over the two days. Present Mrs H Clement and her committees oversee arrangements.
