Grants to 235 Manitoba schools boost small programs
Manitoba’s Small Schools Support Program grants 1.75 million dollars to 235 schools, aiding six or fewer teacher elementary schools and sub 20 student high schools with 1800 to 13500 dollar awards. Officials say funds enable new programs and equipment, and a community accounting and word processing service extends to Treherne and Glenboro businesses. The initiative, praised by superintendents and the Education Minister, aims for long term ongoing support.
