Russell Town bylaw seeks renovation loan for Memorial Hall
Notice under The Municipal Act states Town of Russell Council gave first reading to By law 1060 November 23 1978 to authorize renovation and temporary financing for the Russell Memorial Hall. The bylaw awaits Municipal Board approval and is on file for public inspection. Objections must be filed by November 30 1978. otherwise the board will act.

Farm management courses opening in new year
Two farm management courses are set to begin early next year. The Farm Business Planning Course starts Monday January 8 1979 and runs four weeks in Russell. It aims to improve capital land and labor use after receiving production and marketing information. The Farm Accounting Course begins March 5 1979 in Binscarth and runs five weeks one day per week. It covers Prairie Farm Account Book basics and household record keeping for the farm.
